  • Introduction to GIS.
  • Collection - digitalization - data storage.
  • Models and spatial data structures.
  • Basic editing digital geographic data and analysis.
  • Mapping data.
  • Applications of GIS.

Laboratory exercises:

  • Nine laboratory exercises- individual reports: 70% of the Lab grade
  • Final written Lab exam: 30% of the Lab grade

Assessment and grading method:

  • Lab work, 30% of the grade
  • Problem sets, 20% of the grade
  • Final closed-book written exam, 50% of the grade
