Research Interests

  • Conducting research in areas of smart buildings / neighborhoods / grids including advanced energy management applications and optimisation for exploitation of increased levels of renewable energy generation,  coordination of Distributed Energy Resources, demand side management and integration of Electric Vehicles in smart grids.

Participation in Research Programmes and Projects

  • H2020 MarieCurieSmartGEMS: Project manager and principal investigator of H2020 research and innovation activities of Horizon Marie Curie Rise Smart GEMS (2015-2019, www.smartgems.tuc.gr). 
  • H2020 ReCo2ST: Residential Retrofit assessment platform and demonstrations for near zero energy and CO2 emissions with optimum cost, health, comfort and environmental quality (2020-2021).
  • CampΙΤ: Development of an innovative energy management system of the Campuses (2014-2015).
  • CIP (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme) 2007 – 2013: Implementation of dissemination activities in the context of the GREEN@Hospital project.
