Konsantinos Spyrou

Dr. Konsantinos Spyrou obtained the B.Sc Degree in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Ioannina (UOI). He finished his PhD studies at the University of Groningen, Zernike Institute for advanced materials (the Netherlands). He worked for two years as Post-doc Associate at university of Cornel, (USA) at the Materials science and Engineering Department. He was a visited scientist at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He worked as an Experienced Researcher Marie Curie Fellow at National Center of Scientific Research Demokritos (Athens). His work experience includes participation in 7 research programs and he is the author of 74 international publications in peer reviewed journal (such as JACS, ACS Nano, Adv. Funct. Mater., etc). and more than 2400 citations. He has also participated in 25 National and 15 International Conferences. His scientific research focuses in chemistry and engineering of carbon composite materials. Accordingly, his research activities interconnect organic chemistry, organic and organometallic catalysis, and science of carbon and polymeric nanocomposites. He is a peer reviewer in several international journals and author of one book chapters. He is a guest editor in the journals Applied Science, nanomaterials and Frontiers in Chemistry.
